Truth to the matter these things are already taking their toll. While even one untimely death in a family is a tragedy, it hasn't reached levels of reversing population growth globally. As we slowly run out of energy which masked overshoot so far, the death toll will surely rise. Actually this is the reason I'm writing these articles: to get people's attention that we are in the end-game of high-tech civ. and if are unable to manage the coming contraction mass suffering can occur.
