No you are not - you are willing to imagine another future. War and aggression are part of the story - unfortunately. Just like times and places of bucolic/pastoral peace. In my view this is not going to be an even transition where everybody either dies or lives a happy life. The first waves of the unraveling will be terrible for sure, but there will be times of peace in-between, and if history can teach us anything, is that after a collapse of a large empire is complete (taking decades to centuries) times of peace and freedom follows. The Dark Age of Europe was not at all dark - ruling elites named it so, to break any notion of nostalgia towards such an age.
