No, low temperatures just make the glass cool off then (due to its inherently high heat capacity) become impossible to reheat. This was the reason for not having sheet glass and other large glass objects before the age of fossil fuels. In a post carbon age glass will become the luxury commodity of the rich: as takes an immense amount of fuel to melt, and thus only small objects would be made out of it.
