Fully agree. The elephant in the room is overshoot. No matter how we mince words pro or con renewables, the fact remains a fact that we are using rapidly depleting mineral inputs to uphold a civilization which has long passed the carrying capacity of Earth, and keeps decreasing it with every passing day.
