Feel free to read the rest of my articles for facts and figures. As for economics and human ingenuity: both worked perfectly in a world abound with resources and fossil energy. I highly doubt their relevance though in a world of finite resources on a rapidly overheating planet. For thought experiment: imagine that you put the best scientists and engineers on a rocky reef in the middle of the ocean without tools, machines or energy. No trees, no grass, no resources just dead rock. Will they invent their way out?
