As always, brilliant insights. It is both fascinating and frightening to see this unraveling of peer polities and consequently the collapse of global civilization in real time. It will be interesting to watch how the eastern polities will try to stay afloat one or two decades more, after western states fall into disarray. With that said, while complexity will be drastically reduced, I believe (OK, hope) that not all will be lost, and there will be plenty of surviving state(let)s, city states and small communities trying to eek out a living.
